Born in Westwood, New Jersey and raised in Drexel Hill, Father Rob attended Cardinal O’Hara High School and graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987. He went on to earn a J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1990.  After receiving his law degree, Father Rob spent seven years as an attorney with Gillin and Associates, where he served as Criminal Defense Counsel, in addition to handling contract negotiations, arbitrations and mediations. 

Father Rob professed vows as a member of the Order of Saint Augustine in 1999 and was ordained to the priesthood on September 13, 2003.  He has served as Chaplain as Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia and at the University of Maryland, College Park, and received a Master’s Degree in Theology from the Washington Theological Union in 2003.  He serves as a member of the Provincial Council of the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova and a member of the Board of Trustees at Malvern Preparatory School. He is a past member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Delaware County Bar Association and the Delaware County Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.  Father Rob also serves as the chaplain for the Villanova men’s basketball and football teams.

In his 16th season at Villanova, Father Rob is Villanova University’s Senior Associate Athletics for Student-Athlete Welfare.  As part of his role in the Athletic Department, he also oversees the areas of Sports Medicine and Strength and Conditioning, and is serves as the administrator for the golf program.
